Composition
The Scientific Council of ITN (CC/ITN) is composed of all those who, in any way, including scholarship, and being either national or foreign citizens, carry on research and experimental development in the institution, as long as they have a PhD degree or equivalent, have been approved in the tests to which Article 17, number 2 of DL 219/92 of 15 October refer to, or, even not having any of those qualifications, are integrated in the research career with category equal or superior to auxiliary researcher or the university career in category equal or superior to auxiliary professor.
Only those members with the professional category of researcher and contractually bound to ITN can vote and be elected to the Coordinating Commission of the Scientific Council (CC-CC/ITN).

Organs
The organs of the Scientific Council are the Plenary, the President and the Coordinating Commission (CC).
Coordinating Commission
The Coordinating Commission of the Scientific Council (CC-CC/ITN) elected 16th May 2007, with the composition indicated below, ceased its functions on 21st May 2008, continuing its President in functions.
